In a world that often measures success by numbers, targets, and profit, Rumah Kreatif (creative house) was born from something much simpler, and much deeper: a genuine calling to serve.
Rumah Kreatif is a non-profit, community-based initiative rooted in the belief that meaningful change begins at the local level. We are not a formal institution, nor a commercial organization. We are a group of ordinary people who believe that every child and every young person deserves a safe space to grow, express themselves, and be seen.
Our activities are carried out voluntarily, driven by compassion rather than obligation, and guided by one core question:
“What can we do today to make our community better than yesterday?”
A Safe Space for Children and Youth
Most of our programs focus on children and teenagers living in the surrounding neighborhood. These are the formative years—where values, confidence, and self-belief quietly take shape.
At Rumah Kreatif, children are not treated as “objects of education,” but as human beings with ideas, emotions, and potential. Teenagers are not judged for their mistakes, but invited to reflect, grow, and discover who they truly are.
Our activities include:
- Creative learning sessions
- Mindset and self-awareness workshops
- Art, storytelling, and expression-based activities
- Open discussions about values, responsibility, and dreams
- Safe mentoring spaces for teenagers navigating identity and purpose
There are no grades, no pressure, and no competition. Only presence, trust, and encouragement.
Why We Do This?
We do not do this for recognition.
We do not do this for funding.
We do not do this because it is easy.
We do this because we believe that helping even one child feel valued can change an entire future.
Many of us grew up wishing someone had listened more, guided more gently, or believed in us sooner. Rumah Kreatif is our way of becoming that presence—for the next generation.
This is not charity.
This is shared humanity.
Community Before Everything
Rumah Kreatif operates with a simple philosophy:
“From the community, for the community.”
All activities are designed based on real needs observed in daily life. We listen first. We adapt. We grow together. Parents, volunteers, youth, and children are all part of the same ecosystem.
There is no hierarchy of “helpers” and “those being helped.”
Only people walking side by side.

We may not have large buildings, advanced facilities, or global funding—but we have something just as powerful: consistency, sincerity, and love.
